I've been here four times this year and we've booked again for the site's fortieth anniversery at the back end of August.

Caswell Bay – A Gower Treasure Just Minutes from Riverside
There’s something magical about the first glimpse of Caswell Bay. The road winds through leafy lanes, the trees part, and suddenly there it is — golden sand, gentle surf, and a sea that shifts from emerald to deep blue depending on the sun. It feels a world away from the everyday. And yet, for those staying at Riverside Holiday Park in Swansea, this coastal gem is just a 15-minute drive from your caravan door.
Caswell Bay is one of the Gower Peninsula’s most loved beaches — and for good reason. Whether you’re laying out a towel for a lazy afternoon, helping the grandkids build sandcastles, or simply sitting with a flask of tea watching the tide roll in, it has that rare mix of beauty and simplicity. The bay itself is clean and sheltered, with seasonal lifeguards and a gentle slope that makes it perfect for paddling.
There’s a well-kept café right on the beach serving hot drinks, sandwiches, and scoops of proper Welsh ice cream. Clean loos. Easy parking. A coastal path leading to Langland Bay if you fancy stretching your legs after lunch. Everything you need, and nothing you don’t.
And when you’re ready to head back? It’s a quick hop inland to Riverside — where you can relax under the trees, pour a glass of something cold, and talk about which beach you’ll visit next.
If you’re staying at Riverside Holiday Park, Caswell Bay isn’t just a day trip — it’s practically your local.
